Halloween

The best part of Halloween is seeing all of the kids in their Halloween costumes; especially when they are creative!  Sadly, since moving from Oklahoma City to Pensacola we don't have as many kiddos coming through our neighborhood....so needless to say I have a TON of candy left over. I guess I overstocked. Oh well, looks like I will just have to eat it! (darn)  lol

Our girls were Tinker Bell and the oldest (2 1/2) wanted to be an airplane. So, I did my best and made her a T-34 airplane out of cardboard boxes! Ha! This was fun, and my hubby just laughed when he saw it. I honestly think it looked pretty good for someone who never went to any form of shop class. =)  I'll let you be the judge.

I have to say the best costume award goes to "The Toilet!" kid.  That was the funniest thing I have seen. I wish I had a photo for you. Greatest costume that came by my house. (of course with the exception of my awesome T-34!! lol j/k)

Amazing - just amazing

I just want to say that it has been an AMAZING month! God is certainly blessing me in every way! I have had the most wonderful clients - all were so sweet, fun and just incredible!!!!!! Each family that I had sessions with were great. The kids certainly make for a fun shoot. Especially when they made "sand angels" and giggled while laying there waving their hands and feet in the sand. Also, watching the little ones running around the airplanes checking out every inch of it! It's so awesome to see their minds just run wild with imagination. =)

I am blogging my appreciation for all the families I had the privilege of meeting this month! Thank you guys. Each of you are so AWESOME and I had a fabulous time with you.

So, with October closing and November beginning - I'm so thrilled to meet so many new families and to catch up with some of my current clients! It's so exciting to see how big the kids have gotten - especially when some of them were just babies! This is going to be a great month. =) Thank you everyone! I know that there are many of us photographers to choose from and I am honored that you have chosen me. I promise that you will not be disappointed! We will have a great time - full of fun and laughter in a relaxed atmosphere! Can't wait to see you!

Drum Roll Please...... Donation time!

Every month I take a portion of my earnings and donate to a charity.

(This all started back when I joined other amazing photographers in a non-profit origination, Project Childhood).

It really inspired me to take this beyond the month that we gave free sessions to the less fortunate and donated to childhood charities; to an every month giving.

As everyone knows, this month is the national breast cancer awareness month! So, I have decided to donate at the end of the month to this awesome charity - Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I am very excited to give to such a wonderful charity.

If you are interested in donating please visit their website at:  http://cms.komen.org/komen/Donations/WaystoDonate/index.htm

Have a great day and for all you ladies out there - Please don't forget to do a self breast exam every month! It could save your life. =)

New Business Cards!!

Awwhhhh yea! I have patiently (yea right! lol) waited for my new business cards to arrive. After several different templates I designed - man did I do a ton of revisions! lol - I have decided on this one.  I love the way they turned out; especially the rounded corners - I like being different. lol =)  I do know that I am not the first to have the rounded corners, but it's still "a new" thing for the business card world.  I was so excited to share them, that I took a few snap shots to put on here.

The hardest part was deciding which photos to use. I have so many awesome clients that I have wonderful shots of. So, I think that I will order some more w/ different photos on them. =)  Really, that was the part I couldn't decide on. lol

I just want to thank all of my clients for being such a wonderful people.

Tell me what you think?

The Front

Thank you everyone for being there to encourage me to follow my passion.  I couldn't have done this without you! You are the greatest. XOXXO

Peace out -

Military Career Photo session

Today I had the honor of photographing a U.S. Navy Lieutenant! =)

I have taken photos of the aircraft (T-34) he is currently flying before, but this was the first time I have photographed someone w/ the plane.  He brought the family along and the kiddos ran around and I got some great photos of the whole gang! Thanks Dan for letting me take those awesome pics! You guys are the greatest!

Thank you for serving our country!!

Surf's Up! The Super Cool - L. Family Beach Session

I had the pleasure of photographing this fun family! They were so awesome and they came up with a fantastic Christmas photo idea - Christmas socks!! Too cute! I loved it.

They have 4 girls and every single one of them are so sweet. They are fun, spunky and beautiful. Mom and Dad are such wonderful people and I just adore them. I had a blast chasing the girls around with the camera - and let me just say they are "HAMS!" ;)  Which of course makes for a great photo session... haha.  The baby wasn't too thrilled about the sand, but once we sat her in the little green bucket - she was all smiles!!   Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to share those memories with you. I had a great time!!

Here is a sneak peek ~

Thanks again! It was a blast.

The Great Pumpkin!

Pumpkin patch here we come!!

I took the girls out to our local pumpkin patch today.  It is my youngest (18 months) first time to one and the third time for our oldest (2 1/2). Daddy was working late, so the girls and I jumped into the car and off we went.

As soon as Cadence saw a hint of orange balls she yells, "MOMMY!! Pumpkins!!" "Audrey, see the pumpkins?!!" She is too funny. We pulled in, jumped out and off the girls went running to the first line of pumpkins. Audrey was all about touching and "trying to eat them" I think she was amazed!! Cadence was all about rolling them on their sides! Goofballs. =)  I took some photos of them, but they weren't having too much fun with me hounding them to "look at me!! Smile!!!" So the few pics I got were of them looking at the pumpkins.

Cadence picked out the biggest on out there and Audrey wanted the small ones. So, we took home 1 large, 1 medium and 2 "baby" pumpkins. Tomorrow we will make Jack-O-Lanterns! Hooray!

Too much fun! I love this time of the year!!!

p.s. It's time to bust out that Charlie Brown movie. =)

Happy Birthday Honie!

Today's my hubby's birthday!! He feels that he is getting old.... haha.. But he will always be "young" in my mind. =)  The day started off with our two girls giving him lots of hugs and kisses and gave him gifts. Yep! We celebrate birthdays THE MINUTE you wake up! lol.  Got the kids to a babysitter this evening and off to a fabulous local Irish restaurant  - McGuires Irish Pub. They have the best steak and my hubby loves it there. So, I took us to celebrate him "getting younger" (lol) with a great steak!

Here are some photos of our day....yes... the pictures were taken with a point and shoot! ;)  ha-ha

His cake that the girls helped make - "Better than sex cake" that has now been renamed to "The Nookie Cake" since we have little ears. =)

Happy Birthday!

One Year Portrait Session

Happy 1st Birthday! This little guy had his one year portraits taken today. He was so fun to follow around. It is so awesome looking at little ones learning and discovering the world around them. The feel of grass, the bugs that crawl around - and believe me! This little guy was all about seeing where this worm was headed! lol. I had a great time during our session. Thanks for the opportunity and pleasure of taking his 1 year portrait!
